Taser International demand justice

15 August, 2009

Taser International, in what could be seen as a move to protect profits and minimise liability, have filed a lawsuit in the B. C. Supreme Court challenging the findings and recommendations of the Braidwood Inquiry.

The ABC reports a lawyer for Taser International said:

… the Braidwood inquiry was biased and neglected to bring forward evidence from the weapon’s manufacturer.

The lawsuit also argues that the commission breached basic principles of fairness and fundamental justice.

Taser also wants an injunction barring the inquiry’s findings in any future rulings.

That’s right – not accepting Taser International’s evidence breached basic principles of fairness and justice. Read the report here. A second Inquiry will record the circumstances of Robert Dziekanski’s death.
